Pearl Caddis…and a nice Bibio!

I got a visit this evening by a very dedicated fly fisherman. It is always nice to see what other tyers are up to. He brought these very nicely tied caddis pupaes. They are tied with a body of plastic pearls ribbed with ice-dubbing. They look best tied on a curved hook of some kind. They can be weighted to your own needs and will catch both grayling and browns all over the world. The bibio imitation is a very good fly to use in Norway during summer. These insects appear in large numbers and make the fish go crazy. You are lost without one of these in the box when this happens. Go ahead and tie some…
